Derek Hughes, Assistant Director, and Chris Dale, Senior System Director Labor Relations, Minnesota State, testified that they had discussions with TRA regarding TRA's concern about the rollover and compliance and that the parties agree.
Rachel Barth, Legal & Policy Director, and Jay Stoffel, Executive Director, TRA, testified that they wanted discretion not to accept an ineligible rollover and that the parties agree.
Sen. Rosen moved to authorize staff to make technical corrections to LCPR19-035 as necessary. MOTION PREVAILED.
Sen. Rosen moved LCPR19-035 be adopted as the 2019 omnibus retirement bill. MOTION PREVAILED.
Sen. Pappas moved that the Pension Commission recommend to the Legislature, the Governor, and House and Senate leadership that the state aid to local governments under Minnesota Statutes, Section 273.1385, Subdivision 4, be extended by removing the sunset to expire on the earlier of full funding or 2048, with an immediate effective date upon enactment.
